At Priory, we believe every child, parent and visitor should be able to take part fully in the life of our school. Accessibility is part of how we think about inclusion: it isn't a separate policy sitting to one side, but something we consider across our building, our teaching and the way we communicate with families.

We work to make our building and grounds as physically accessible as we can, so that pupils, staff, parents and visitors with a disability or mobility need can move around and use our facilities. Where a child needs particular arrangements, whether that's the layout of a classroom, specialist equipment, or support at particular points in the day, we plan these around the individual so they can learn and take part alongside their classmates.

Accessibility is also about access to learning and to everything else the school offers. We adapt our teaching, resources and activities so that children with a wide range of needs can join in lessons, playtimes, clubs, trips and events. We give careful thought to pupils with sensory, communication, medical and other needs, and we welcome an early conversation with families so that the right support is in place from the start.

We keep our facilities and practice under regular review through our Accessibility Plan, which sets out how we improve physical access, access to the curriculum, and access to information over time. We also aim to make our communications including letters, forms and this website clear and easy to use, and we're happy to provide information in a different format on request.
